Project Day & Mer de Glace

Day #4 - Project day.
To keep this residential educational, we had a day off to go and explore Chamonix. Me, +Nadia Pavliucek +Liisi Lehemets and +Madli Tuvike decided to pay 27€ and take the train up to the mountains to see the Glacier.

Once we arrived at the train station, we were told that the museum up on the mountains was closed, so we decided to have a quick look in the town and come back later. Eventually we managed to catch one of the trains and let the fun begin. First of all, as we went higher and higher the view over the valley was just outstanding. It definitely made at least me feel like I-must-live-here.

Ice cave in the Glacier + the mighty stairs!
Quick ride down to the Glacier

Almost in heaven

There were two museums: one was full of different stones and other was all about Mont Blanc and the Glacier. I think the most amazing part of it was seeing the Glacier and visiting the ice cave. It looked amazingly beautiful and magical from the inside. There was a small exhibition of different snow related equipment and many photos of the Glacier back in the old days. Although I had some serious doubts whether to go or not because I thought it's too expensive, then after visiting it I believe it was well worth and quite cheap for what you could experience and see up there. Money well spent!
